The musicians who gathered together to form the LYRA String Quartet in 2006- 07 have been invited for a special week of performances and outreaches in this mountain community. | This event welcomes the talents of all adult amateur and professional musicians in metropolitan Atlanta as well as surrounding areas who would like an opportunity to gather to read, play and perform Chamber Music in the warm, friendly environment of Callanwolde Fine Arts Center! An Evening of Chamber Music at Callanwolde provides a unique learning and performing experience for musicians at every level of development, facilitated by members of Lyra. The "soiree" event aims to provide exposure to a wide variety of chamber music literature, to stimulate sensitive ensemble playing, and to enhance awareness of the elements of fine musicianship through sight-reading, listening, and performing. Dinner is provided at these events. |
